Steel Tmt Bars:
Since its inception, Venky Group has been empowering its customers with products and solutions that are truly path-breaking, global and future ready. In pursuit of this mission, Venky has fostered in its people, a strong spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation, striving hard to consistently exceed the worlds most stringent quality parameters marshalling the best of technology and knowledge. Evcon Turbo Cooling System for TMT Process
Stage 1 : Quenching : The hot rolled bar leaves the final mill stand and is rapidly quenched by a special water spray system. This converts the surface layer of the bar to a hardened structure called Martensite while the core remains austenitic.
Stage 2 : Self Tempering : The bar leaves the quenching box with the core temperature being higher than that at the surface. This allows the heat to flow to the surface from the core, thereby tempering the surface, resulting in a structure called Tempered Martensite. The core remains austenitic at this stage. Stage 3 : Atmospheric Cooling : Cooling takes place on the walking cooling bed, where the austentic core is transfored to a ductile Ferrite-Pearlite core. Thus the final bar comprises of a combination of a strong outer layer of tempered martensite and a ductile core of ferrite-pearlite. Specification
Material can also be supplied as per IS:1786-1985, 2830 or international standards like American ASTM A616 / German BST 500 of Din 488 / British Gr. 450 of BS444-1978 / Swiss Topar 500 of SIA 162 / French Fe-E50 of NF A35-046.
Product Range Venky produces TMT bars of 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 25 and 32 mm Grade 415, 500 FE.
Specialization The company specializes in catering to the requirements of clients by producing patterns in steel with all range of products.
Applications
Further we would like to draw your kind attention to the fact that we are a quality TMT manufacturer for the building houses and apartments, large constructions like industries, dams, bridges, highways other industrial projects Advantages of VICON TMT Higher Bond Strength
The rib pattern of Vicon TMT has been specially designed to ensure that excellent bond strength is developed between the bar and the surrounding concrete. While the specification stipulates that bond strength should be 40% higher than that of mild steel plain bars, Vicon has the same higher by as much as 100%. This leads to increased safety and durability of the structure even in the most hazardous environments.
Fire Resistance While ordinary TMT rebars show rapid loss of strength as the temperature rises above 350 degree celcius, Vicon TMT does not show any weakness even at 600 degrees, thus making it safer in the event of a fire.
Bendability
Vicon TMT bars can be bent and rebent around very small mandrels of 2d and 4d respectively without problems, which have obvious advantages at construction sites.
Higher Corrosion Resistance
Perfect control of the TMT process results in an uniform and thick tempered martensitic rim, completely free from internal stresses. This martensitic rim improves the corrosion resistance as well as the fatigue strength, when compared to traditional cold twisted bars.
Seismic Resistance
Studies were conducted on concrete beam column joint reinforced with Vicon TMT bars to evaluate its performance under repeated reverse loading with inelastic strains as would be encountered during earthquake. The energy dissipation was found to be almost same for each cycle, indicating uniformly maintained ductility till failure. The tests thus revealed superior Seismic Resistance properties for Vicon TMT.
Weldability
Due to its low carbon content and low carbon equivalence, Vicon TMT has weldability far superior to those of conventional rebars. It can be butt-welded or lap-welded as per requirements. No pre-warming or post heat treatment is needed. Interpass temperature should be limited to 200 degree celcius with low heat input and equivalent strength, low hydrogen type electrode
